he is trained in how to acquire that wealth information
though internet. For this

taking the internet to the farmer
|
The
Pakissan iVan was inagurated
by Prof Ata-ur-Rahman, Minister of Science and Technology,
on February 14th, 2002. Regular trip of the van will start
from Mid March.
The
Van hosts a modest internet ready equipment and setup. It is
geared to be used by new comers not familiar with
Technology.
Eventually
we plan to have fully intergraded internet with independent downlinks
and communications equipment.
With
Pakissan iVAN
we plan to
·
Give internet training to
the farmer and community youth.
·
Give
orientation to Agri-web sites; Pakissan.com.
·
Improve upon
our efforts based on farmers feedback.
·
Encourage the
local community to connect to internet.
·
Initiate the
formation of Pakissan Tele-centers.
In
the first phase of the program we will touch the group of
Farmers who would be more receptive of this effort. Regular
trips to different farming areas will be planned in
coordination with farmer organizations.
Pakissan i-Van travels deep down to central Punjab.
Pakissan.com recently made its maiden tour to deep down
areas of farming lands of Faisalabad district to make the
people of central Punjab aware of the significance of cyber
technology for agricultural development. |
