Dear Sir, Poultry Industry of Pakistan is making a tremendous contribution in bridging the gap between the supply and demand of meat protein. With the continuous depletion of supply of red meat, poultry is the cheapest available meat protein for our masses and as such is an effective check upon the spiraling animal protein prices. Poultry at present contributes 27% of total meat consumption, while mutton production has reduced by 10% during the last 10 years. Poultry sector generates employment and income for about three hundred thousand people. It is producing and supplying in the market 4500 Million table eggs and about 450,000 Metric Tons of poultry meat. The present Government has supported the poultry industry in its progress and development.

Pakistan Poultry Association, Punjab Zone, is holding 7th National Poultry Congress 2004 on 09th and 10th of April 2004, we expect that delegates from other countries will participate in this Congress.  

Aims and objective for 7th National Poultry Congress-2004

Natonal poultry congress and exhibition was organized in 1998 for first time and since that it is being organized every year, undre the auspices of Pakistan poultry association. Now it is the 7th national poultry congress which is being organized on 9th & 10th April.

Pakistan poultry association is making sustained efforts to get rid of problums of poultry sector . In addition to this , the PPA has foused speacial attention on providing technical knowledge and practical guidence to poultry farmers.

To attain this objective, seminars and workshops are held in important poultry centers,where in poultry farmers equipped with latest techniques of disease preention and modern poultry production methods. It is imperative that the sole purpose of such efforts is to pave way for the fast growth of this sector and ensure prosperity of poultry farmers.

The most important aspect of this congress is to provide an opportunityto the participants to keep themselves posted of the vast knowledge and experience of renowned local & foreign experts.

It is worth mentioning here that the topic selected for the congress cover almost all the impotant aspects of poultry farming and the current problum. The organizers of the congress made most since and untiring efforts for its success, which no doubt, deserve appreciation.

The congress has definately made a significant contribution for growth of poultry sector. This year Pakistan poultry congress-2004 will be attented by about 1000 participants from other countries.

This congress includes holding of technical seminars, and Distribution of SSouvenir. This is the 7th consecutive NPC for which, I have been honored to co-ordinates as Chief Organizer. The expriences of the past few years in organizing such gatherings have helped us to reorganize our priorities for this year.

We discuss all these problems and issues and try to resolve them. The conference provides a unique and comprehensive forum to discuss the present status of the disease and an oppurtunity to resolve th eissues relating with the government.

• To create awreness amongst the Farmers & Veterinarians of the industry.
• To share recents development in different areas of the Poultry Production in the World.
• To develop closer interaction amongst the members and the poultry farmers working in different sectors of the poultry industry.
   

We have made our utmost endeavor for the success of 7th National Poultry Congress & Exhibition. The farmers veterinarians and rest of the poultry indsutry is the best judge to appreciate, how far we have been successfull while organizing this national event.

However we would continue dedicated efforts and energy for the betterment of poultry industry.
