Proceedings of the meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran by Haji Altaf Haider. After that Mr. Abdul Basit, Chairman PPA (Punjab Zone) invited Dr. Hassan Sarosh Akram, Chief Organizer NPC-2004 to take over and transact the business. Chief Organizer NPC-2004, expressed his appreciation to the members, came from all over the Punjab and thanked all of them, for sparing their precious time  to share their valuable views with the house in order to make the excellent arrangement for the Congress-2004.

Then agenda items were taken up one by one for discussion and decision.

 

 ITEM-1 TO CONFIRM THE MINUTES OF 5TH MEETING OF NPC-2004
Since minutes of the subject item were already dispatched to the conveners, and no observation was made, Dr. Mustafa Kamal proposed, Dr. Mazhar Iqbal seconded and house passed the minutes of 5th meeting of NPC-2004 unanimously.


 ITEM-2 TO REVIEW THE WORKING FOR NPC-2004
Dr. Hassan Sarosh Akram, Chief Organizer NPC-2004,expressed his views that although arrangement of the congress were delayed due to rumor of Bird Flu/ Media Trial Crisis of our industry, yet with the kind guidance of, Mr. M Yousaf Ehsan Khokhar Central Chairman, Mr. Abdul Basit, Zonal Chairman, Conveners & Members of Organizing Committee and Media of Poultry Industry, all arrangements have been made appropriately. He informed the house a brief detail of arrangements:-

a. Chief Guests - Finalized.
b. Technical Sessions - Finalized.
c. Banners - Completed.
d. Souvenir - Under print.
e. Registration – Almost complete.
f. Awards/Shields - Finalized.
g. Coupons - Printed.
h. Stalls - Almost complete.
i. Certificate of Participation Printed.
j. Hotel arrangements - Done

After that Dr. Hassan Sarosh Akram informed that house that we have only one week for the arrangements. He offered all poultry leaders/Conveners to help each other in completion of the required target. He said that next meeting will be held on Thursday 08th of April at 03.00 P.M. followed by a final visit to PC Hotel. He invited all conveners to inform the house about the arrangement of their respective sub committees:-

a. Registration;
 Mr. Raza Mehmood Khursand informed the house that Registration of 500 participants has been completed and efforts are being made to fulfill the target of 750 registrations. Dr. Hassan Sarosh Akram, Chief Organizer appreciated the efforts of Mr. Raza  Mehmood Khursand made to complete the target.

b. Stalls;
Mr. Shahid Mehmood Dar informed the house that he has visited Karachi to fulfill the target of 35 Stalls. He said that 31 Stalls out of 35, have been booked and efforts are being made to complete the target.

c. Seminar;
Dr. Mustafa Kamal informed the house that all lectures have been finalized, 100% work of translations has been completed and all the material has already been handed over to Dr, Mazhar Iqbal for Printing in the souvenir.

d. Banners;
Chief Organizer informed the house that All Banners have been prepared and Certificates of Participation have also been printed, which will be distributed to all registered participants, through bags.

e. Souvenir:
Dr. Mazhar Iqbal informed the house that souvenir is under publication process, which will be completed on 07th of April 2004.

f. Hotel Booking:
 Mr. Sajid Malik, Convener Public Relation Committee informed the house that he has carried out survey of a few hotels located near PC Hotel, to arrange additional rooms if  required. He confirmed that 20 rooms would be available in Dubai Hotel, Shadaman from 09th April 2004 if needed.

g. Awards;
While talking about the awards, Chief Organizer informed the house that Shields are under preparation and would be collected by Secretary Congress on 6th of April 2004.

h. Chief Guest
Dr. Hassan sarosh Akram informed the house that Chief Guests for Inaugural Session and Closing Session have been finalized.

i. Coupons of Lunch/Tea;
Coupons of Lunch and tea for 9th and 10th April have been printed by Mr. Khalid Saleem Malik and would be handed over to PPA (Punjab Zone) office before time.

j. Security & Hall Management;
Rai Mansab Ali Kharl informed the house that as far as Security and Hall Management is concerned, there will be no problem at all.

Chaudhary Waheed uddin Chief Executive, Well Pharmaceutical came out with some reservations, about the participation of Pharmaceutical industry in the congress. Detailed discussion was carried out, by Mr. Abdul Basit, Chairman PPA (Punjab Zone), Dr. Hassan Sarosh Akram, Chief Organizer NPC-2004, Mr. Shahid Mehmood Dar, Mr. Sajid Malik, Mr. Raza Mehmood Khursand,Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Mr. Yousaf Ehsan Khokhar and Muhammad Azmat Chaudhary. It was decided that suggestions for its  improvement would be invited from Chaudhary Wahidddun and efforts  would be made to resolve confusions if exist at all. Mr. Abdul Basit Chairman PPA (Punjab Zone) appreciated the active participation of pharmaceutical industry in all events, whenever celebrated by PPA. It was also decided that a meeting of all pharmaceutical firms would be arranged separately by Chaudhary Waheed uddin, with Chairman PPA Punjab Zone and all problems would be resolved by mutual negotiations.

Mr. Raza Mehmood khursand emphasized that that there are only six days left, we all should get united to work hard jointly to make the Congress successful event.

Mr. Khalid Saleem Malik proposed that Awards should be given to all conveners of sub committees, and two awards to Broiler wing and Two  awards to Layer Wing be given. Chief Organizer informed the house that Awards would be given strictly according to the criteria, set by the house, in the previous meetings. He said that at this stage, it  will be very difficult to give awards to all sub committees.

At the end, Chief Organizer thanked the participants once again, for  coming and sharing their valuable views, which would definitely be proved beneficial for the NPC 2004 and Poultry Industry.

Mr. Abdul Basit, Chairman PPA (Punjab Zone) while summing up the meeting appreciated the efforts being put in by Dr.Hassan Sarosh Akram, Chief Organizer National Poultry Congress-2004 and his team. He hoped that excellent arrangement of the Congress-2004 would be made, Insha Allah.

There being no other business to transact, the meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the chair.
