International Poultry Expo 2018 from tomorrow

LAHORE – International Poultry Expo 2018 (IPEX-2018) Chief Organizer Raza Mehmood Khursand has announced that the three-day International Poultry Expo 2018 will be held from 27th to 29th September, 2018 under the auspices of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) at Expo Centre, Lahore.

He said that Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar will inaugurate the mega exhibition on Thursday (tomorrow). The poultry show would be attended by more than 300 foreign delegates from different countries, while over 10,000-15,000 business entrepreneurs, policy making authorities of the government and general public is expected to visit the event daily.

Addressing a press conference here at a local hotel, Khursand said that PPA is holding IPEXs regularly since 1998, with the objectives of creating awareness among the farmers, masses and veterinarians to share major developments & progress in different areas of poultry production in the world. The exhibition is also aimed to develop closer ties amongst all stakeholders of the poultry industry working in different sectors.

While highlighting the important features of IPEX, he added events would hopefully educate and fascinate not only the farmers, students, poultry-related businessmen and veterinarians but also general public. He added that we have also introduced Poultry Science Conference consisting of 3 sessions. Scholars from different universities would deliver lectures on significant topics. The aim of this conference is to share research on poultry production, processing and marketing. He also added that poultry industry of Pakistan is producing 18,000 million table eggs and 2250 million kilograms of chicken meat annually.

The three-day expo will be a show of vaccine suppliers, feed millers, consultants, producers of broiler/eggs, grand-parents and breeder companies.

Annual dinner would be arranged on 28th September, 2018 and will be attended by Ch Muhammad Sarwar, governor Punjab. On 29th of September, Sardar Husnain Dareshak would be the chief guest.
