Fourth session of Pakistan and Belarus was held on Thursday to agree upon future areas of cooperation in various areas in the field of agriculture in connection with visit of a delegation from the Republic of Belarus led by Mr. Igor Brylo, Deputy Minister of Agriculture & Food arrived at Islamabad for participation in the One Country Exhibition and 4th Session of Joint Working Group (JWG).
Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, Federal Minister for NFS&R inaugurated the Exposition and urged the representatives from Business Houses of Belarus and Pakistan to frequently interact with each other during the B-2-B sessions. Federal Minister reiterated that Govt of Pakistan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with the Republic of Belarus and Pakistan and Belarus are jointly convening Fourth Session of Pakistan Belarus Joint Working Group (JWG) in a short span of time since its establishment in 2015.
The Federal Minister further stated that the leaderships of both Belarus and Pakistan have put forward the path for our ever growing relations in all spheres including agriculture sector. He further added that the two sides will keep continue to follow the track of active cooperation for future progress in agreed areas including agricultural mechanization, value addition, enhanced trade, establishment of joint ventures and sharing of expertise and technologies and here also hoped that this delegation from Belarus led by Deputy Minister will further expand our cooperation in various areas of agriculture.
Fazal Abbas Maken, Federal Secretary Ministry of NFS&R in his address expressed that the frequent interaction between business communities and researchers is always important to build long term economic relationships.
Mr. Igor Brylo, Deputy Minister from Belarus in his speech thanked the Government of Pakistan for a warm welcome. He said that the two governments are taking steps to promote bilateral cooperation including economic cooperation on mutual interest basis. The Deputy Minister further said that Belarus will continue his support and cooperation. Moreover, leaderships of both Belarus and Pakistan have put forward the path for our ever growing relations in all spheres including agriculture sector.
Andrei Ermolovich, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus mentioned in his talk that the two countries would move ahead from simple trade into a strong industrial cooperation. “We have extensive experience in construction and can help Pakistan in agriculture, forestry sectors besides assisting it in modernizing its industry,” he said.
