A spokesman of Agriculture Department, Punjab has said that under Khadam-e-Punjab Kissan Package subsidy of Rs.5,000/- per acre on Sunflower cultivation (Oilseed) is being provided. This subsidy will be provided in the form of voucher which will be sealed in Sunflower seed bags. All registered farmers under Khadam-e-Punjab Kissan Package will be given subsidy on cultivation of Sunflower upto 10 acres.
Registered farmers will get subsidy voucher from Sunflower seed bags after scratching type voucher Number then give space aftermath type his CNIC Number and will send it to 8070. After receiving of SMS in his response, farmers will receive immediately Rs. 1,000/- from nearest mobile shop. Rest of Rs.4,000/- will be received at the time of harvesting of Sunflower after receiving SMS to farmers.
The spokesman also disclosed that any unregistered farmer can make a call on Agriculture Helplines 0800-15000 & 0800-29000 for getting his subsidy and more information.
