ISLAMABAD: Speakers at a day-long seminar stressed on Wednesday the need to take appropriate measures to address the challenges being faced by the local agriculture sector in order to achieve higher growth returns.
The speakers called for modernisation of the sector besides providing farmers with adequate resources and equipment. They said that issues in the agricultural methodology need to be addressed to meet global standards.
The event was organised by the Center for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS) in collaboration with Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
Addressing the event, PARC Chairman Dr Yusuf Zafar extensively highlighted the current status of Pakistan’s agricultural industry, its challenges and presented an extensive way-forward for the improvement of agricultural goals.
The seminar enlightened the audience about the different challenges and issues to the agricultural industry of in the country.
