FAO assisted project completed
Sialkot-Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) assisted Food Security Pilot Project
has been successfully completed in village Malo Mahay of tehsil Daska of Sialkot district in tow years stipulated period.
The project has produced high yielding results in increasing per acre yield of rice and wheat crops in the village.
Official sources told here that food security pilot project has been completed with a high success and producing high yielding results of rice and wheat crops in the area.
Federal government has decided to expand this programme in 100 villages of various parts of the country keeping in view the success of this food security pilot project aimed at achieving high per acre yield of the crops.
The food and agriculture organization had provided the facility of inputs and machinery while the staff of provincial agriculture department has provided necessary assistance and cooperation to the growers and farmers' community of village Malo Mahay for enhancing per acre yield of the crops.
Sources told that the staff of the Punjab agriculture department have provided the technical guidance and production technology to the growers and framers of the village aimed at bringing boom in per acre yield of rice and wheat crops.
