Chicken farmers in Vietnam are happy to see the price of domestic chicken remain stable despite the pressure of cheap imported white chicken meat. Selling at USD 1.15/kg, which is a good price compared to last year, Nguyen Van Ngoc, Deputy Chairman of the Association of South-eastern Poultry Production said the market will be brighter in 2018, and broiler growers in Vietnam will be more confident to invest.
The driving force he explained, comes from better performance with the use of new technology, new market accesses, and higher competitiveness against imported meat.
