MULTAN: The government is taking effective measures to prevent fruits and vegetables losses during delivery from agriculture fields to markets. According to Assistant Director Agriculture Information Naveed Asmat Kohloon, different schemes were underway to facilitate the growers and reduce losses during supply chain.
“About 25 per cents vegetables and fruits get perished during delivery during supply and the government is taking effective measures to improve the situation”, he said.
He urged the farmers to keep in touch with agriculture department experts for getting maximum benefits from the schemes.–APP
