Retail In-store Promotion with the Country's Largest
Supermarket Chain
PHILIPPINES, March 9, 2004 -- A Great American In-store
Promotion will be conducted by the Agricultural Trade Office
in Manila and SM Supermarket, the largest supermarket chain in
the Philippines from July 1-17, 2004. SM Supermarket, through
its Philippine importers will purchase and feature at least
200 new U.S. food and beverage products including pet food.
The promotion includes product sampling and other
merchandising support to ensure maximum exposure for the new
products.

MALAYSIA, March 9, 2004 -- Malaysia's CPO production
dropped 22.7 percent to 876 TMT in January 2003. Carry-over
stock level at the end of January also dropped to 1.1 MMT. PO
exports rose to 910 TMT in January. Average local CPO price
rose from US$471/MT in January to US$503/MT in February.

WASHINGTON, March 9, 2004 -- Private exporters reported to
the U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales of 165,000
metric tons of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations
during the 2004/2005 marketing year.
