Wheat quota to six flour mills cancelled    

KARACHI (March 19 2004): Sindh Food Department on Thursday cancelled the wheat quota to six flour mills of Sindh after receiving the complaints that these flour mills are not complying the orders of government to set up flour stalls at Bacahat Bazars of Karachi.

Officials sources informed PPI that secretary food Sindh is taking action on the reports of City District Government Karachi (CDGK) that these flour mills have not set up their stalls at Bacahat Bazars, withheld the wheat quota of these mills.

"The flour mills are bound to set up the stalls at Bacahat Bazars under the agreement reached between government and flour mills association to set up stalls for provision of flour to consumers as per the notified rate of government but these flour mills did not comply with orders, sources added.
