ISLAMABAD (March 12 2004): A delegation of Sumitomo Corporation led by Motto Yoshioka, called on Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture, Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind here on Thursday.

The delegation discussed with him integrated pest-control management programme for improvement of quality and yield of cotton with Japanese assistance.

The federal minister appreciated Japanese support in this vital area particularly the controlling of pink bollworm to enhance production of clean cotton in the country.

He hoped that Japanese co-operation, through JICA or other organisations would grow in the days to come.

Motto Yoshioka offered Japanese support for controlling pink bollworm to get quality cotton for export purposes.
