Sizeable quantity of Sindh lint traded on cotton market      
      
 
KARACHI (March 30 2004): A respectable quantity of upper Sindh lint was traded on cotton market on Monday which manifests that trading is likely to sustain, relevant sources said.

The spot rate was unchanged at the overnight level of Rs 2950 without ST and upcountry expenses.

In ready, brokers said, around 8000 bales of Sindh cotton changed hands at prices between Rs 2550 and Rs 3000.

New York cotton futures rates were not received.

Sources said that more deals were likely to be known late in the night. Meanwhile 8000 bales of upper Sindh cotton were sold on Monday until usual trading hours.

Consolidated deals around 8000 bales were passed on from upper Sindh at Rs 2550 and Rs 3000.
