Rs 30 million for welfare of fishermen
KARACHI (March 30 2004): Fishermen's Co-operative
Society (FCS), for the first time in its current
budget, has allocated Rs 30 million for the
welfare of fishermen.
This was stated by the Vice Chairman FCS, Abuzar
Mariwala at the inauguration of dispensary and
expansion of community centre in Baldia Town on
Sunday evening.
He said that several projects had been initiated
in fishermen's localities for their welfare eg
construction of hospitals, schools and community
centres. FCS Director, Ghulam Ali Make announced a
contribution of Rs 80,000 for the second phase of
community centre and dispensary.
