Farmers to be apprised of new world trends      

ISLAMABAD (March 20 2004): The government has decided to establish a mechanism to monitor requirements and new trends of the international market before sowing of major crops.

The agriculturists would be apprised of these informations so that they could avail of the opportunity and draw the maximum benefit out of it.

According to official sources on Friday, this step would greatly benefit the farmers in getting the latest information about requirements and new trends of the international market.

It may also help the government in devising new strategies to cope with the situation. The farmers may be able to avail benefit out of these informations by bringing about the required changes in cropping pattern in accordance with the demands of the open market.

It has also been decided that the agriculture extension department would provide all necessary information to the farmers and it would co-ordinate with them in accordance with demands and supply mechanism of the international market.

The farmers are facing problems to visualise the fast changing trends and prepare a long-term strategy to cope with the new situation emerging in different fields of the agriculture.
