Cricket match takes away cotton market lustre
KARACHI (March 14
2004): Cricket match between India and Pakistan
after 14 years took away the shine from cotton
market on Saturday where no trading was witnessed,
relevant sources said as the words were drowned in
the cheers of crowd on TV.
The official spot rate of cotton was unchanged at
Rs 3000 without ST and upcountry expenses.
No deal was reported as operators were spell-bound
listening to the commentary and watching the game
on TV set before them.
