Bird owners asked to get licences
HYDERABAD, March 26: The district game warden has
asked people owning prohibited birds and animals
to get licences by April 10. Presiding over a
departmental meeting at his office here , the game
warden, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, warned that after
the deadline, an operation would be launched with
the help of police in the district and those who
did no have licenses would be booked.
He said check posts had been increased from five
to 10, adding that a summary had been moved to the
Sindh government to equip the management of
district game warden with necessary wherewithal.
He directed the officers to ensure strict
patrolling and checking on main roads to curb
activities of illegal birds' peddlers. Mr Shah
also directed for setting up a check post on the
Hyderabad bypass road and said action be taken
against violators of law without any
discrimination or political pressure.
He said hardworking officers would be rewarded and
action would be taken against negligent officers.
