| Punjab government provides Rs 40.521 million loans to farmers FAISALABAD (January 16 2004): Under the One Window Operation Scheme of Punjab Government, a total amount of Rs 40.521 million has been provided as agricultural loans to the small farmers of District Faisalabad on soft terms during the last two months.
This was revealed by D.O. Revenue Muhammad Aslam Qasmi during a meeting, which was held for reviewing the pace of work on the one window operation scheme.
ADO Revenue Dr Irshad Ahmad informed the meeting that during the last two months 229 agricultural Pass Books were issued by Revenue Department at 33 centers set up under one window operation in six tehsils of Faisalabad district, while Agricultural Development Bank provided agricultural loans of different denominations of 149 applicants.
DO Revenue Aslam Qasmi directed the staff of revenue department deputed on these centers that they should provide every possible facility to the farmers and in case of any problem/complaint, the same should be redressed on the spot so that the farmers could not face any difficulty in getting proper benefits from the agricultural facilities being extended by the government to them.
