| Listless trading in cotton market KARACHI (January 21 2004): Trading in cotton (all from Punjab) was maintained around usual calculated level determined by the spinners, relevant sources said. The rain, according to them, had not disturbed the proceedings.
The official spot rate of cotton grade III was unchanged at Rs 3175, without ST and upcountry expenses.
In physical trading 3000 bales of cotton changed hand at prices ranging between Rs 3165 and Rs 3300.
Following deals were noted: 1000 bales of Burewala at Rs 3165, 1000 bales of Hasilpur at Rs 3250 and 1000 bales of Rahimyar Khan at Rs 3300.
