ZTBL launches tripartite control system
KARACHI, April 16: The
Management of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL)
has launched tripartite control system in order to
exercise effective internal controls and improve
vigilance in the field offices especially in the
regions of large loan portfolios and concentrated
operations.
The system has been prepared to curb the tendency
of corruption and malpractices to improve the
quality of lending and to timely redress the
client’s grievances, a press release said here the
other day.
It said that under this control system, the
Regional Manager, the Audit Unit and the
Inspection and Complaint Unit would concurrently
work with optimal interaction.
The frequency of internal audit would be on
quarterly basis instead of annual audit as at
present.
This will further ensure that rectifications are
made without delay.
It further said the scheme would be implemented in
phases beginning with 12 regions of the bank with
the heavy portfolios in all the four provinces.
The regions where this scheme has been launched
included Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh,
Vehari, Bahawalpur from Punjab province, Nawabshah,
Sanghar, Shikarpur from Sindh province, Loralai, D
M Jamali from Balochistan province and Abbottabad
and Peshawar has been selected from NWFP.
The set-up, under this system, will essentially be
a tripartite management as well as control system
taking the bank towards good governance and
efficient management paradigm, it added.
