Two killed, one injured over wheat share
SHEIKHUPURA, April 30:
Two people were killed and one injured on Thursday
when farmers exchanged fire after an argument over
a wheat crop in Gharmula Virkan village, some 40
kilometres from Sheikhupura.
Farmers Malik Nasrullah and Abdul Razzaq Khokhar
had cultivated their wheat crop together, but got
into an argument over their shares after the
harvest. The argument turned into a gun battle.
Nasurallah, Abdul Razzaq and his brother Abdul
Khaliq received serious bullet injuries.
They were taken to District Headquarters Hospital
(DHQ) in Sheikhupura, where Nasurallah and Abdul
Razzaq died. Abdul Khaliq was moved to Mayo
Hospital in Lahore in critical condition. staff
