Government urged to eliminate duty on cotton
waste import
KARACHI (April 10 2004): Chairman Pakistan Open
End Spinners Association (POESA) Chaudhry Tassadaq
Rasool has urged the government to eliminate 25
percent customs duty on import of cotton waste.
Speaking at a meeting of the association held to
consider budget proposals for the year 2004-05, he
also demanded imposing ban on export of cotton
waste to overcome the shortfall of its raw
material.
