Farm fee collection: contractors get more
facilities
HYDERABAD (April 23
2004): Director General, Agriculture Extension and
Research, Muhammad Akram Malik has directed the
administrators of Agriculture Market Committees (AMC)
to ensure all facilities to market contractors in
collecting market fee.
He was presiding over a meeting of market
committee's administrators at his directorate here
on Thursday.
Akram further said the market committee staff
should be deployed at the contractors recovery
points to provide them help and guidance so that
the market committee operation could be
streamline.
He said immediate action would be taken against
the staff if found guilty not fulfilling their
obligations with sincerity and added that their
survival is linked with the economic survival of
the agriculture market committees.
Responding to a complaint of contractors who have
complaint that the police is interfering in their
operation, he also directed the administer
Hyderabad market committee to contact district
police chief along with the contractors and
explain him detail the terms and condition of the
contract.
He also warned the contractors that in case of
breach of the contract their contracts would be
cancelled which would not be challenge-able before
any court of law and authority.
Referring to check post for the purpose of
recovery shall not be established at main roads,
but market fee shall be recovered from dealers at
market as well as business places in accordance
with existing law.
He also directed the market officials to ensure
recovery of monthly instalments in case of failure
they should immediately take an action against the
defaulting contractor in accordance with the terms
of contract.
