Cotton market remains sluggish
KARACHI (April 01 2004): Trading in cotton was not
reported by the operators till the usual office
hours, relevant sources said. They said deals were
to land late in the evening.
However, the official spot rate of grade III
cotton was left unchanged at Rs 2950 without ST
and upcountry expenses.
From New York signal was in the negative. May was
reported down 0.45 cent to Rs 65.10 cents and July
down 0.28 cent to 66.90 cents a pound.
A couple of deals in addition to what was reported
on Tuesday were 400 bales of Sadiqabad, done at Rs
2700, and 800 bales of Burewala at Rs 3100.
