| No shortage of flour in Punjab: PFMA LAHORE (February 13 2004): Pakistan Flour Mills Association (Punjab Zone) has stressed that there is no shortage of flour in any area of the province and the wheat flour availability in the market is satisfactory. A spokesman of the Association said that supply of wheat flour had suffered due to the Eid holidays, however, 'this gap in supply is now bridged'.
He said in Rawalpindi region alone, flour mills obtained 43,000 bags of wheat on daily basis from the provincial food department and supplied it to the market.
Two ships carrying huge stocks of wheat are arriving at Karachi on February 18 and 19 after which wheat flour availability would further improve.
