| KBP appeals to Prime Minister LAHORE (February 07 2004): Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) is going to make a formal request to Prime Minister of Pakistan Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali for sparing some time for KBP representative delegation so that he could be apprised about the problems confronting to agriculture community of Pakistan.
Muhammad Sadiq Khan Khakwani President KBP said here on Friday that a formal request in this regard is being sent to the PM Secretariat and hopefully the meeting would be held by the end of current month.
To a question Khakwani said that agriculture sector is facing various problems, hence government must take adequate steps to resolve the same on priority basis.
He was of the view that high prices of various agriculture inputs have increased the production cost of wheat and immediate relief for wheat growers is much needed.
