Karachi Electric Supply gives relief to farmers of Lasbela
KARACHI (November 27 2002) : Brigadier Tariq Saddozai, Managing Director of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation, has given a temporary relief to farmers of Lasbela district.
The MD KESC has also allowed them to pay the bills for the month of November and December, 2002, at the flat rate of Rs 4,000 per month. It was decided at a meeting held here on Tuesday at the request of Ghulam Sarwar Jumma Khan, President Anjuman-e-Zamindaran Lasbela which was presided by the MD, KESC.
The balance amount will be kept in pending till the final approval of federal government and the government of Balochistan as decided in the meeting. The KESC will not disconnect till December 31, this year. However, if the matter was not resolved within decided time, the KESC will resume its disconnection drive.
The Zamindars of Lasbela has also been advised to approach Zonal Manager of Uthal for the correction of their November and December bills.
