Improving Livelihood of Pastoralists in Balochistan
Scientists and experts from Paksitan Agricultural Research Council
(PARC) and International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development
(ICIMOD), Kathmandu (Nepal) gathered at Arid Zone Research Centre (AZRC) of PARC at
Quetta from June 11-12 to explore ways and means for improving the
livelihood of pastoralists in Balochistan along with the officials from
government of Balochistan including Secretary Agriculture; Director General,
Agriculture Research Institute (ARI); Programme Coordinator, UNDP and Chief
Conservator, Forests. Dr. Shahid Ahmad, Senior Director (Natural Resources)
and Dr. Muhammad Afzal, CSO/Incharge (Animal Sciences Division) represented
PARC in the meeting.
