Agriculture play vital role
in Balochistan economy
QUETTA-Balochistan Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and
Livestock Sardar Sadaat Ali has said agriculture,
fisheries and livestock play a fundamental role in the
development of Balochistan's economy, that is why the
government is paying special attention on these fields.
Addressing a farewell party held in honour of Dr. Abdul Hamid
Bajwa and other retiring officers here Saturday, the
Minister emphasised the young officers to take advantage of
the experiences of their seniors and utilise their full
abilities for the development and prosperity of the province
and its people.
He further said," Agriculture has played a fundamental role in
the development of advanced countries and their stable
economy. Allah Almighty has bestowed great blessings on
Balochistan which is prominent for its long coastal line, huge
reservoir of minerals, fine quality fruits, fish and
livestock."
In order to further develop agriculture in the province and to
introduce newly discovered agriculture commodities, he urged
the agriculture officials to lead the cultivators in right
direction.
He lauded the farewell party and termed it as the profession
of magnificent services of retired officers.
Provincial Secretary Agriculture Ahsan Raja and Director
General Agriculture Abdus Salam Baloch also addressed the
party and lauded the services of retired officers.
