Ristech to help
reclamation of Saline lands
ISLAMABAD-RISTECH technology
can greatly help in reclamation of saline and water logged
lands and also make brackish and saline water suitable for
irrigation after necessary treatment.
RISTECH technology has been
developed by M/S RISTECH for treatment of saline water. World
ecological system has cast adverse impacts on agriculture.
Although salinity, water
logging and water shortage is a world wide problem it is not
peculiar to Pakistan only, yet of course Pakistan has some
additional difficulties due to drought and its canal system,
causing salinity and water logging in the country.
According to RISTECH sources,
the technology will not only help reclaim saline and water
logged lands but will also enable the farmers to use the
saline and brackish water for irrigation purposes, without any
harm to their crops and land.
M/S RISTECH has also developed
technology for replicating the ecological system of the earth
and to protect environment from degradation.
The sources said the company
will provide technology to the farmers to produce his own
fertilizers as a substitute for DPA and Urea and also to
reclaim the land.
RISTECH reclamation and
treatment of brackish water projects in Rajanpur and DG Khan
are producing encouraging results and now RISTECH wants to
launch it on a massive scale.
The sources disclosed that they
will train and educate the farmers to enable them to analyse
his soil and will equip farmers with the required technology
for reclamation of land and avoid degeneration of their lands.
It said with the help of Soil
Stabilizer, Soil Reclaimators, Crop Boosters, and Seed
Germinators, the barren and saline land will be made useful
for increasing production. This will generate income in
agriculture and other sector of the economy.
