Classes at Poultry Research Institute

Poultry Classes are being starting from October 2001 at
Poultry Research Institute, Rawalpindi with a view to import
poultry industry in the province and provide earning sources
to youth. This was informed by Secretary Punjab Livestock
Department Raees Abbas on the eve of visit to the institute.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary said that earlier the
youth was being provided only six months poultry farming
courses saying that there was dire need of post graduate
specialists of poultry for the promotion of poultry industry.
Raees Abbas informed that M.Sc. Poultry classes are being
introduced after the approval of Syndicate of Barani
Agriculture University Rawalpindi.
The Secretary further said that
for starting M.Sc poultry classes. Livestock Department has
not demanded any additional budget from the Punjab government
but has decided to start the project with its own financial
resources
